Occlusion studies the relation of contact between the teeth of both arches. All teeth should have a position and correct relationship, either among themselves, or with the skeletal system in which they live for a proper occlusion.

When this harmony doesn’t exists it appears a joint dysfunction temporomandibular, which are symptoms: pain in the joint dysfunction temporomandibular (often confused with ear pain), noise in the joint dysfunction temporomandibular, headache, pain in the muscles of mastication, facial pain, difficulty opening the mouth, tooth abrasion. This situation must be diagnosed and planned their treatment as early as possible.
